About the project
The project focuses on the popularisation of scientific achievements, the work of researchers, scientific research and development activities within the field of social communication and media studies, with particular emphasis on book and information science. It aims to present the transformations that have occurred in the processes of collecting, processing, and disseminating information.
The project seeks to demonstrate the practical relevance of research in social communication and media studies to the everyday lives of information users, both at the individual and institutional levels. In an era marked by intensified disinformation, the development of generative AI technologies and the growing fragmentation of information sources, communication that is conscious, fact-based, tailored to audiences and diversified in form becomes one of the key instruments of social responsibility.
The core activities of the project will include:
- The organisation of a series of online lectures prepared and delivered by researchers and experts in social communication and media studies.
- The development of podcasts in the form of interviews with scholars, expanding on the issues addressed in the lectures.
- The preparation of an English-language electronic publication available in open access.
The project is planned for implementation in the years 2025–2027.
